    Raleigh is rated safer than several big-city regions. Nonetheless, the safety & wellness of our students is taken very seriously. Even in the late hours of the night there is a Living Arts College staff member present on-site monitoring the safety of our student residents.

    The College has a zero tolerance policy for crime of any kind. Violators are subject to immediate dismissal from the College and/or eviction from Smartsuites housing. Violators may also be subject to prosecution by civil authorities for violation of any federal and state laws.

    It's a different learning experience. Grades are only the beginning point. Getting productions to the screen … or in print ... or installed, such as an Interior Design project ... that's the priority. This is a hands-on experience in and outside the studios.     DIRECTIONS TO LIVING ARTS CAMPUS From Raleigh, Downtown:

    Take US 1 North (Capital Boulevard) and continue on US 1 North for 10 miles (5.2 miles north of Highway 540) until you see a green NCDOT sign noting "Wake Forest" Turn left at the stop light, across from the automotive dealership on the right

    • This is New Falls of the Neuse Road, proceed less than 1 mile
    • Turn left onto Wakefield Crossings Drive
    • Living Arts is on the left at 3000 Wakefield Crossing Drive (just before Kerr Drugs & Cafe)

    From Durham (Highway 70 East or 40 East):

    • Take I-540 East to the Capital Boulevard Exit
    • Go North on Capital Boulevard (US 1) for approximately 5.2 miles
    • Turn left at the stop light, across from the auto dealership on the right
    • This is New Falls of the Neuse Rd, proceed approximately 1 mile
    • Turn left onto Wakefield Crossings Drive
    • Living Arts College is on the left at 3000 Wakefield Crossing Drive (just before Kerr Drugs & Cafe)

    From Henderson (US 1 South):

    • Follow US 1 South across Hwy 98 and pass Target Super Center
    • Turn right at the stop light, across from the auto dealership on the left

    From Wendell, Zebulon, Wilson, Rocky Mount (Highway 64 West):

    • Exit right onto I-440 Outer Beltline (just beyond Tower Shopping Center on right)
    • Stay on I-440 North for approximately 3 miles
    • Take EXIT 11B (US 1 North) Capital Boulevard) and continue on US 1 for 10 miles

    The Monolethic Dome campus of the Living Arts College provides a digital real-world studio for "A Degree of Higher Creativity". The College is dedicated to supporting the digital imaging industry by maintaining close association with professionals in the arenas of filmmaking, audio production, entertainment, corporate communications, advertising and publishing.     How convenient is on campus housing? Smartsuites on-campus housing, is just 39 steps away from the nearest academic building and offers accommodation with all private bedrooms, a full suite of features including, satellite television, built in dishwasher, full size refrigerator and wifi. Housing assistance is part of the College acceptance process. Your Admissions Officer has information on housing application at Student Services. Admissions will also arrange for you to visit Financial Planning who will offer budgeting planning details that include tuition, housing and eligibility for Campus Awards plus Federal Financial Aid. Housing, transportation, roommate connections and part time job search can all be reviewed with Student Services on a caring basis. Get started with your Admissions Officer.     Where DO I FIND FRIENDS IN Raleigh?

    The Raleigh area is populated with a diverse population of students attending many well known colleges and university. You will find a Student Services Office staffed sponsors community activities, coordinates activities for student travel and much more.

    Where DO I FIND A PART TIME JOB?

    Plan to visit or call Student Services. They will work with Professional Services to help guide your part time job needs .. most often, outside of your major.

    do I NEED FIND FURNITURE FOR MY ON CAMPUS SUITE?

    No, except that you'll need bedding (pillow, pillow case and single bed sheets) plus towels and cleaning supplies.

    I HEARD ABOUT STUDENT OFF CAMPUS TRIPS.

    You may bring other furniture that fits into your individual room. However, you may not remove ANY furniture from your individual room. At the end of your lease, you must move ALL of the furniture you brought into your individual room out of the Smartsuites.

    WHERE DO I SHOP?

    You will find retail shops, food markets, fast and fine dining all within walking distance of Living Arts.

    HOW DO I GET INVOLVED IN STUDENT GOVERNMENT?

    Yes, we do travel around the U.S. attending professional events and production centers. Travel to such venues as BDA—Broadcast Designers Association and GDC—Game Developers Conference, is optional and self funded by participating students. The College makes a special effort to coordinate trips finding best value hotels, flights and discounted entry to some venues. Travel events have proven to be positive for making industry connections.
