MAKING THE TRACK: "HOW WE RECORD"
UrMOM band has recorded their original tracks and video for the cover to the music band Tool. The recording and video was produced at the Living Arts College campus B2R—Born to Rock Studios. UrMom is comprised of four teenage girls hailing from Wake Forest, North Carolina. They combine alternet rock sensibility with an old school, hard rockin' style. Plan to watch the video and hear the track for the recording session: Tool's 46 & 2. You can follow the band at @UrMomtheband Listen2urmom#Fortysixand2
LIVING ARTS COLLEGE RECORDS THE SOUNDTRACK FOR "THE WOLF"
Debra Hooper, vice president and campus director invited Lauren Kennedy to come into B2R recording studios at Living Arts College to have her show recorded. Professor Craig Brandwynne and a few students recorded the full pit orchestra for the soundtrack to this show to be used at the performances. “This was a fantastic opportunity and experience to work with Broadway actress/producer, Lauren Kennedy." Stated Craig Brandwynne, “We normally do not have this type of instrumentation to mic and record. It was an honor to work with such great talent.”
OUR STUDENTS ARE CREATING THE MUSIC FOR FEATURE FILMS
See the trailer for a new movie that our Audio Engineering students worked on called "Union Bound"!
Our Audio instructor Craig Brandwynne was the supervising sound editor. Nicholas Bagwell was the dialogue editor / sound mixer. Jeremy Allred, Maxwell Gratzer, and Arnold Hernandez were sound effects editors. Thomas McCullough, Louis Roussell, and Brian West were boom operators.
Living Arts College students get "reel" world experience! While corporately based in New York City, the mission of the organization is carried out through a traveling bus, an audio and video recording studio on wheels.
